What it is
What is a vinyl wrap, and what is a chrome delete?
A vinyl wrap is a color or printed adhesive film applied over a vehicle's paint panel by panel with heat and a squeegee; it changes the look without repainting and can be removed later. A chrome delete is a targeted wrap that covers factory chrome trim — window surrounds, grille, badges, door handles, mirror caps — in satin or gloss black or another finish. Film makers rate premium cast vinyl for roughly 5–7 years on vertical panels; hoods and roofs in Inland Empire sun wear faster.

Vasken steers full color changes toward Peel Clear because it lasts far longer. Wraps still have jobs they do better.

Process
How a wrap goes on here
Consult and film choice
Send photos and the look you're after. We go through cast-vinyl finish samples and write a preliminary estimate. A deposit locks in your film; the car is scheduled once it arrives.
Prep
Wash, clay and decontaminate. Handles, mirrors, lights and badges come off wherever an edge needs to tuck behind them. Peeling clear or a bad respray gets a conversation first.
Application
Panel by panel with heat and a squeegee. Knifeless tape for the cuts, so no blade meets your paint. Edges wrapped around and post-heated so the film's memory doesn't pull them back.
Handover
A post-heat check on every edge and seam, a care sheet, and a walk around the car with you in daylight.
Durability
How long does a wrap last?
Premium cast film is rated by its makers for about 5–7 years on vertical panels with hand washing; horizontals — hood, roof, trunk — wear first, and Inland Empire heat shortens that. Manufacturer coverage says the same thing: 3M's 2080 series carries up to 8 years vertical and 3 years horizontal; Avery SW900 is 5 years vertical and 3 horizontal. Garaged cars do better. These are industry figures, not a promise about your car.
Hand wash it, skip brush car washes and keep pressure washers off the edges. Film left in the sun past its rating goes brittle and can leave adhesive behind — which is why removal is on our list, and why we'll point you to Peel Clear for a color change you plan to keep.

How long does a vinyl wrap last?
Premium cast film: about 5–7 years on vertical panels with hand washing, less on hoods and roofs and in hot, sunny climates like ours. Film makers back that with warranties of roughly 3 years horizontal and 5–8 vertical. Garaged cars last longer.
Wrap or Peel Clear — which should I pick?
If you want a color change that looks and feels like paint, reaches the door jambs, has no seams, and is backed by a longer warranty, Peel Clear. If you want a printed design, a specific textured film, a short-term look, or a chrome delete on trim pieces, vinyl. We do both and we'll tell you straight which one fits.
Does a wrap damage the paint?
Not when the paint is factory and sound and the wrap is removed within its service life — the paint underneath is often in better shape than the rest of the car. Resprayed or peeling paint can lift with the film, which is why we inspect before we quote.
What is a chrome delete?
Wrapping the factory chrome trim — window surrounds, grille, badges, handles, mirror caps — in satin or gloss black, carbon or a color. It's reversible: heat the film and peel, and the chrome is untouched underneath.
Can you wrap just the roof, hood or mirrors?
Yes. Gloss black roofs and B-pillars, satin black hoods, mirror caps and spoilers are common jobs here, and they can be done alongside tint in the same visit.
